Terms of use

splicebit.net (the "site") is run by Splicebit Technologies ("Splicebit", "we", "us"), registered office Thane, Maharashtra, India. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act 2000 and the rules made under it. They're generated by a computer system and don't need a physical or digital signature.

Our products (CampaignOS, Formalytics, EduMonk, Argus, Tallyman, Doorstep and Pathwise) have their own terms, which you accept when you sign up for one. Custom builds run on a written agreement with each client. If those terms or that agreement conflict with these, they take priority for that product or that work.

You may use the site to learn about Splicebit, for your own or your organisation's purposes. You agree not to:

• use it in a way that breaks any law or anyone's rights;
• try to gain unauthorised access to it, or to probe, scan or test its security (see "Reporting a security issue" below);
• disrupt or overload it, or introduce malware;
• collect data from it at scale by automated means, other than search engines and AI crawlers that follow our robots.txt;
• send spam, false information or someone else's details through our forms;
• pretend to be someone else, or imply that we endorse you.

Everything on the site is general information about Splicebit and our work. We keep it accurate, but product features, availability and status (live, in beta or in development) change, and products in beta or development may change a lot or never launch. Nothing here is an offer, a guarantee or a binding commitment. Prices shown are in US dollars and are indicative; the price on a product's own site, or in your agreement with us, is the one that applies.

Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice. In particular, Argus provides analysis, not licensed financial advice, and never places a trade or moves money; and Doorstep provides guidance, not financial or legal advice.

Joining a waitlist, beta or early access list doesn't guarantee access, a launch date or a price. We may let people in gradually and at our discretion. Beta and early access products are pre-release, may have errors, and may come with their own terms.

When you send us information, you confirm it's accurate and that you're entitled to share it. Please don't send confidential information until we've agreed in writing to keep it confidential; we can't treat unsolicited ideas as confidential. If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

The site and everything on it, including text, design, code, product names, logos and the otter mascot, belongs to Splicebit or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may view the site, link to it and print pages for your own reference. Anything else needs our written permission.

Client logos belong to their owners. They're shown to identify organisations we've worked with and don't mean those organisations endorse anything on this site.

The site links to our product sites and to other websites. Product sites have their own terms and privacy notices. We don't control third-party websites and aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have by law that can't be excluded, including your rights as a consumer under India's Consumer Protection Act 2019 or the consumer laws of the country where you live.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything on it. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us to use it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

If you use the site for a business and your breach of these terms causes a claim against us, your business will cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

If you find a security vulnerability, please tell us at info@splicebit.net before sharing it with anyone else, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. Don't access, change or delete data that isn't yours while you investigate.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first and we'll try to resolve it informally. If we can't, the courts at Mumbai, India, have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you're a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you this right, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer our rights under these terms as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale. These terms are written in English, and the English version applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, which applies from the time it's posted.
